Priyank Chopra in ‘Dancing With Demons’ – A Star is Born

His films made him the star of India and a major player in Hollywood. However, Priyank Chopra is the shy soul that people fear to meet. All his films have been loved by everyone. In his latest film, “Dancing with Demons,” Chopra is no more trying to be outshined by his co-stars, but he is instead out to become a superstar.

The story of the film revolves around a famous American writer, Elizabeth (Leslie Mann), who is turned into a demon by the notorious Benjamin Gruber (Chopra). She is seen as a damsel in distress with no past or personality of her own. However, upon meeting Chopra she finds out that there is more to her than she thought.

Chopra played roles in Mumbai-based movies like ‘In Me Gaadi, Mi Vinod ‘Balladegaon’ while appearing in Hollywood movies like ‘Deewana’Rang De Basanti’. But, what is important about Chopra is his role in India. Many years ago, he was asked to play a lead role in the horror-drama ‘Rubbish! After death’.

It was then that Chopra realized that he had already become the target of ridicule, especially from those who called him a westerner with a silly voice, who could never get beyond his Indian accent. He has also noted how the Indians were lashing out at him because he was not following their political rhetoric.

But since then, he has turned his back on Hindustani cinema and has openly identified himself with his native tongue, Hindi. In fact, one of his admirers, Abhishek Bachchan has now, dubiously, endorsed him for the big roles he would get in Hollywood. Chopra’s personal fans in Hollywood include the likes of Will Smith, Katie Holmes, Bradley Cooper, Sam Rockwell, and even Jonah Hill. He is the next big thing in Hollywood.

To become a superstar, Chopra’s first move is to make films that are good enough to make him a star. He is proud of his Hindi film which won him many awards. But, it has been said that his next masterpiece will be his acting work in his upcoming Hollywood movie ‘Dancing with Demons.’

It is also the work of Carla Guzzo, director of ‘Dancing with Demons,’ that Chopra became a celebrity. He says, “It all started when I was talking to her about my film ‘Bewitched.’ I said that my film ‘Bewitched’ was similar to another movie, ‘Slumdog Millionaire,’ which was such a great success and touched people. It took me a while to understand what she meant.”
