Daybook is tapping into a growing need that many people have: to safely express their thoughts, release stress, and safeguard memories. The turmoil of the worldwide pandemic and the recession have caused many to seek an outlet, and increasingly, they are turning to this free online diary, which is found on all platforms, including IOS, Android, Web/desktop, and digital assistants like Alexa, Google Assistant, and Bixby. It is safe to say that diaries may never be the same.

Versatility is one reason Daybook appeals to a wide variety of people. Its uses are numerous:

– An emotion tracker: Journalers can capture whether they are feeling thankful, upset, or depressed about something and why.

– A to-do list

– A business diary day planner

– A trip journal: Record memories each day and include travel photos in an orderly manner. The app’s camera-capture enables users to take photos quickly and include them in a simple journal.

– A daily expense tracker: Organize receipts, bills, and invoices daily.

– A class notebook: Use it as a homework tracker, assignment planner, or as a quick reference. It’s great for students who want to put in pictures with their notes.

– A wish list app

– A pocket diary: Users can record their life journeys.

Another reason the app is so popular is the large number of benefits it offers:

  • Safeguard Memories: Daybook enables the user to write a private diary, memoir, journals, and notes in the most natural way and record memories in an organized manner.
  • Guided Journal: Users have access to a guided journal for tracking mood and activities, a mental health journal for managing stress and anxiety, a gratitude journal, self-improvement, and more.
  • Journal Insights: Daybook offers insights using a mood analyzer from the user’s activity and mood logs.
  • Secure and Passcode Protected: The journal comes with a lock that helps to keep it private. A security code also keeps entries private. Data stored in the app is securely protected.
  • Easy to Use: There is nothing confusing or complicated- it’s a simple diary for everyday writing.
  • Free Content Storage with Auto-Data Backup: Content and photos included in the daily notes journal can be accessed from different devices and will back up to the cloud automatically.

Diaries are all about self-expression, so Daybook factored in every individual’s need to show who they are. Users can customize their journals through the use of multiple fonts and themes, including dark mode for night reading. For people who prefer to use digital voice assistants, they can create, read out, and search journal entries through Alexa, Google Assistant, and Bixby.

While much of Daybook is free, the app does offer premium content, including access to custom templates, elegant themes, and all guided journals as well as the ability to upload more photos with higher resolution. Daybook founders Bino Thomas (CEO), Gitto Niclavose (CTO), and Bitto Niclavose (COO) believed in Daybook from the beginning. “Two of us love to write and were always journaling, so we knew that Daybook was important. Eventually, we released it as an app and got a lot of positive feedback. We always knew that journaling can have a positive impact on society and wanted to concentrate our efforts on significantly helping our users. Mental health and well-being is one of the biggest areas we are making an impact on,” Bino says.

Bitto explains, “Journaling is empowering. In the past, keeping a personal journal in a book has been a great tool for preserving memory and tracking daily activities and thoughts for self-reflection and mental health. Successful people like John D. Rockefeller, George Patton, and Ronald Reagan all kept journals, which helped them be successful.”  Gitto believes that Daybook will only grow. “In the future, we will see that journaling will continue to transition to digital version, not just through mobile or web apps, but through digital assistants like Alexa and Google assistance. Journaling will evolve into a data and analytics tool for personal growth. It can help you gain control of your emotions and improve your mental health.”

All three founders are excited about where Daybook is going. As Bino states, “Journaling will always be needed. People will always have memories they want to record or emotions they want to express. Daybook is a product that will be here for generations to come.”
