Amazon was originally known as the NetCentric Technologies Corporation. They moved away from their original name because they were making so much money that they wanted to change the company’s focus to a more traditional retail type of venture. They did an IPO for their e-commerce firm.
The company is known for using different strategies to attract customers, and one of the more interesting tactics is the Amazon marketing. This is a new and unconventional approach to online advertising that uses tools like email blasts and RSS feeds.
