Oprah Winfrey And How You Can Make A Difference

Oprah has been compared to no other because of her phenomenal success in television and her amazing ability to connect with so many people. Oprah Winfrey is a great example of a new age, a successful leader who is admired and respected by millions of people across the globe.

She has gone from a struggling single mother with no education to being a superstar who possesses both experience and education. When Oprah made the decision to run for the Senate seat that Barack Obama vacated, she was told that her ability to drive a tractor through community service would be the deciding factor for many voters. She was right; many people found her on the streets of Chicago, handing out popcorn and chocolate bars to needy children.

The New York Times called Oprah “one of America’s most compelling and powerful female talents.” She was also appointed to Time Magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world. Oprah received a lot of awards and recognition for her hard work and dedication.

Oprah Winfrey has a very rich and diverse background. She is African American, but has a background that is very similar to that of an Asian. Born in Chicago, she grew up in an environment that was very hard on its people. She was constantly ridiculed because of her appearance and African American heritage.

In the year 2020, Oprah Winfrey visited South Africa as a guest of Nelson Mandela, the long time president of South Africa. In this time she witnessed the same people that were shaking her hand and asking her to sign autographs, and she learned that they were unaware of the turmoil that she faced while she was away.

It was her time spent in an Indian Town that made her realize that there was nothing that she could do about her past. She also realized that it was her abilities to make the difference that was most important. Oprah Winfrey has made a lot of African American women change their lives for the better.

She told the nation in her Oscar speech, “I don’t want you to despair; I just want you to know that you don’t have to feel like you’ve got nothing to live for.” Oprah says that people can change if they are willing to change.

We should try to do the same and do what we can to improve our situation. The message that she preached to African Americans in the movie Dreams from My Father has led to so many women trying to build their lives around the values she has taught. I hope that more people will try to improve their lives because Oprah Winfrey did.
