Strong winds hit the country’s western coast, destroying buildings and blowing ships ashore.

A powerful storm battered Turkey’s western coast on Monday, killing at least four people.

Winds of up to 81 mph were recorded in Istanbul, and video footage showed buildings being destroyed, and ships being blown off their moorings.
