New York City, New York – The creation of an app that is facilitating the revival of meetings at work and other events will be good news for the NFL in particular, which lost $4 billion when attendance of its games during the pandemic was impacted. This loss of revenue concerned VOW, a company devoted to helping the event, meeting, hospitality, and entertainment industries hold meetings and events safely, and they created VOW Digital Health, the first COVID-19 health app created for professionals.

VOW prioritized helping employers and event organizers to be able to hold events that are free of any worries of COVID-19. The one-of-a-kind app gives them testing options and a sophisticated technology that will help them uphold their commitment to people’s safety. The app allows them to streamline COVID-19 health data, communicate requirements and status to attendees and employees, and access COVID-19 testing and compliance resources.

Early reviews have been positive, with particular attention paid to the app’s customizable and automated workflow and command center, all of which allows users  to manage the COVID-19 health information of employees, customers and attendees. “The app is extremely detailed, storing CDC screenings, COVID-19 test results, and vaccination records,” says Jennifer Brisman, Founder and CEO of VOW. “And, of course, we’ve made it very private and secure since the information that is captured is sensitive.”

From the employee or attendee’s perspective, the app is easy to use. Directions are clear, and it is simple to take and upload a COVID-19 test. Those who have already been vaccinated are able to upload proof of this as well. Once this information is loaded, VOW Digital Health validates the test or vaccine, providing extra reassurance to employers and event organizers. “It’s real-time verification that up until an attendee joins an event, that person is ‘cleared,’” says Brisman. “An especially nice touch is the VOW Digital Health Pass, which attendees can present at the event to show they are allowed to attend. If, however, an individual is unfortunately denied access, they can join the event virtually, and if they have any questions, they are directed to live support.”

The app will have a large impact on the economy. “With VOW Digital Health, the economy can recover even more since companies can return to business as usual,” says Brisman. “People can reclaim a part of their lives they have been missing for months. I think, though, what is truly unique about our app is who we are serving: professionals. A lot of the apps out there only focus on customers. Professionals are really under-served, so I’m glad we can fill this need.”

After a year of a dramatically changed society, the release of VOW Digital Health comes at the perfect time. The event, meeting, entertainment, and hospitality industries, which have suffered because of either canceled events or limited attendance, will welcome the new app, especially as states like New York release restrictions on gatherings while requiring testing and rapid testing sites.

“Businesses and event organizers are really anxious to get going again. So much money was lost, and they want to get back in the black,” says Brisman. “I’m really thankful that with VOW Digital Health, we can help them do that. One simple app will restore their confidence because they’ll be able to manage the data they need. They will have more control over their businesses again and be able to leave behind what has been a difficult time for so many people.”
