Stefan Thurairatnam took a chance on his dreams of being a successful marketing genius only a short three years ago, and he has already surpassed his original dream. Since a very young age the Sri Lankan, Toronto raised, content creator has enjoyed photography. Stefan would travel the world with his friends and family while always capturing the moment. Photography and travel were such a prominent passion of his that he took the next step and began his journey into the world of content creation. Stefan has been working for the largest financial institution in Canada for five years once he decided that he had to drop everything and pursue his passion. A sudden life changing event caused him to pause his entire life and reconsider the path he was going down.

After a long reconsideration he determined that this realization was a second chance at life and he had to make changes that would land him in a career that he was truly passionate about. Stefan quickly earned a role as an ambassador for Luxury World Traveler from Gil Antolin. He quickly decided to quit his 9-5 job and board a one way plane to wherever his finger landed on a globe. The mentorship that Gill, the founder of Luxury World Traveler, gave to Stefan provided him with the resources that made him the person he is today. All of the experience that he gained helped him open up his own marketing and social media consulting company, LuxVision Media Group. He was finally beginning to turn his passions into a career and a stable lifestyle.

He may have been following his dreams but the struggles that he encountered were much more challenging than anything he had encountered before. He had to overcome his fears and take a chance on himself and his dreams, it is a daunting thing to do. He advises anyone who wants to follow their dreams to just go for it and don’t let the struggles along the way deter you from the end goal. Despite enjoying what he does, Stefan still faces struggles everyday. As a luxury content creator the quality of his work is heavily dependent on his creativity. His success is highly dependent on the content they publish so there is very little room for error. Whatever picture, video, or concept they create has to be carefully thought out and executed with near perfection.

This type of creative work is especially challenging since Stefan never really gets a break from it. Wherever he is he has to constantly be thinking about how he is going to execute his current project or plans for his future projects. He has to always be thinking of how he will continue setting himself apart from his constantly growing competition and he essentially never gets a break. It sounds like an awful job, but the passion he has for the marketing industry makes the entire thing worth his while.
