What Makes Amazon Different From Other Companies?
Jeff Bezos is the CEO of Amazon. The company was founded by an ex-Navy Seal and is a consumer based one. As such, it is not directly involved in any business related to traditional retail, retailing or business.
Jeff Bezos did get his start in the book publishing industry, and when he left Amazon to set up the publishing arm of Amazon, he kept the name Amazon. Because of that, the company has stayed with high brand recognition.
Jeff Bezos still gets the lion’s share of ownership in the company. It is now controlled by three billionaires – Robert and Jonathan Hunt, Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos. This type of ownership will make it more profitable.
Amazon was originally known as the NetCentric Technologies Corporation. They moved away from their original name because they were making so much money that they wanted to change the company’s focus to a more traditional retail type of venture. They did an IPO for their e-commerce firm.
The company is known for using different strategies to attract customers, and one of the more interesting tactics is the Amazon marketing. This is a new and unconventional approach to online advertising that uses tools like email blasts and RSS feeds.
Branding is important and is also a part of making money on the Internet. Many of the Internet’s most successful businesses started out by having a unique brand that spoke to their customers. Amazon’s brand is so strong that you can buy the company’s products online without actually going to an Amazon store.
One of the more unique features of Amazon is that it is a platform. You can use Amazon’s platform to offer your own e-books, music, TV shows, etc. This is another way that Amazon is truly different than other companies.
For all these reasons, Amazon will continue to grow and prosper. And, because of its strengths, will also make more money than many other companies.
