Billie Eilish Interviews the Real Billie Eilish
The Daily Show’s most popular, and best-known comedian, Billie Eilish had to answer tough questions in her first appearance on the set of America’s most popular late night television show. That’s right, the Daily Show is not just about Jon Stewart and The Daily Show! It’s a comedy show featuring an unpredictable panel of people who are often funny and sometimes are not. These unpredictable personalities are cast from around the country to be on the show to have fun with one another, but it is the antics they do that make the show so popular.
On the show Kristen Fielder was a guest, and on the first episode she was introduced as “A woman that seems like she should be the next Miss USA.” She claimed to be a fitness instructor, but it was hard to tell whether or not she had any actual qualifications to teach other people how to go to the gym. She did, however, look great in a nice blue dress with a slinky white top, because that is what women in that industry seem to wear all the time. Billie Eilish, who would come out on her own later, was quick to call her out on her shabby wardrobe. “It’s OK, I have these in my closet, just go ahead and pick one,” she said to Fielder.
When asked if she would be on the show again, Billie Eilish said that if she ever gets asked, “Absolutely, I would.” The reason being she loves working with the team, especially Jon Stewart. He’s very laid back, and is a cool host, she said. And to be on the show and get to be in front of the camera was great. And as for Fielder, she could definitely use a job.
Billie Eilish said that she didn’t really know what the interview would entail. After all, the interview show has had some sketch stars on it, including Lady Gaga. Fielder joked that it was too bad she wasn’t interested in singing, but instead needed a job like Fielder. Billie Eilish took the opportunity to start off by asking if the show has any ever happened where the host is the one who quits the interview. For those unfamiliar with the show, it usually has a guest host who makes them laugh.
In order to protect Billie Eilish from any future situations where she would have to stop and quit the interview because of her overexertion, the interviewer instead asked the first question. They then went into a brief interview about the need for healthy food, and Billie Eilish did not mention in any way what she would do to fight obesity. As an exercise guide, she says she has no experience with, but her mother gave her lots of advice. “I’m going to start looking for a job writing pamphlets and recipes for health food products,” she said. Then she went on to mention she wants to change the law to allow states to restrict guns, which was met with applause from the audience.
For those who are familiar with Billie Eilish, she’s an entertainer who prides herself on creating comedy out of her misery. She lost a beloved dog in a tornado, took part in the Belize government’s program for AIDS patients, and is now an advocate for animals. She said that she loves animals and has animals on her team that work for her. When the interview ended, her eyes welled up with tears. “I really feel the weight of this job. This is very heavy for me, and this whole idea of what you’re doing, but I have been an animal activist for a long time. I really believe in animals, and I am passionate about it. Please hear me out.”
Even though Billie Eilish can’t performing on the show anymore, she may continue to do stand up, although she will likely put more time and energy into activism, and people must really get her message out. After all, the animals that will be placed into zoos will most likely not last more than a year or two, at most. the best they will live is forever.
