Kemarni Watson Darby suffered weeks of beatings before the fatal attack at his West Bromwich home.

A man has been found guilty of murdering his partner’s three-year-old son who died after suffering fatal abdominal injuries at his home.

Kemarni Watson Darby’s mother Alicia Watson was convicted of causing or allowing his death at her West Bromwich flat.

The three-year-old died from severe abdominal injuries in hospital, where he was taken following a 999 call.

Watson and Nathaniel Pope were also found guilty of child cruelty charges.
