This couple in Kyiv tells the BBC they are confident that Ukraine will survive Russia’s invasion.

Residents in Kyiv are facing long queues to get essentials, such as medicine from pharmacies.

Despite the hardships, many residents are staying in the city and say they are confident of surviving Russia’s invasion.

Watch as the BBC’s Jeremy Bowen speaks to one couple, who told him that the world should not “be afraid of Putin because he is very afraid himself”.
