Rhiannon Bragg was held at gunpoint by an ex-partner, who is due to be released from prison on Thursday after four years.

In 2019, Rhiannon Bragg was held at gunpoint by an ex-partner. The moment was caught on CCTV and he was subsequently sent to prison.

This week Ms Bragg, a domestic abuse campaigner, found out that her attacker was due to be released on Thursday – 24 hours ahead of when it was meant to happen.

Ms Bragg told the BBC how she feels about the release and the Crown Prosecution Service’s communication about this.

The government’s Safeguarding Minister Laura Farris said that how long a prisoner is detained is outside of her power.
