Police have released CCTV footage showing the last known movements of a missing woman.

Gaynor Lord, 55, was reported missing in Norwich after failing to return home from work on Friday afternoon.

The footage shows her hurrying through the city centre carrying her coat and handbag before making her way along Queen Street to Norwich Cathedral.

Specialist divers joined the search after police said it was likely she had “entered the water”.

The mother of three worked at Jarrolds department store as a retail assistant for Bullards Gin and had been due to finish at 16:00 GMT on Friday.

But CCTV shows her leave at about 14:45, before walking along London Street towards the cathedral.

The last captured sighting of Ms Lord shows her walk along St Crispins Road towards Pitt Street before going up St Augustines Street at 16:01.

Some of Ms Lord’s belongings, including clothing, jewellery and a mobile phone were found at “various locations” in Wensum Park later on Friday and and her coat was discovered in the water.

Norfolk Police has urged anyone who may have dashcam or doorbell footage of Ms Lord before her disappearance to get in touch.

Norwich’s policing commander Supt Wes Hornigold told the BBC: “There’s nothing within those CCTV image that would give us any rise for concern.”

He said there was no evidence Ms Lord had come to harm.

“We’ve been liaising with the National Crime Agency who have given advice around specialist underwater dive teams and we’re seeking assistance from forces with this capability,” he said.

Wensum Park has been closed to the public since Saturday.

Since then, police, with the help of the fire service and coastguard, have been scouring the area looking for clues.

On Tuesday, Rosie Richards, a woman who lives nearby, said she saw a woman matching Ms Lord’s description in the park at about 16:00 on Friday.

She said: “It’s really upsetting… I’m just thinking of her friends and family, because she is a sort of similar age to my mum and that would be awful to be going through what they are going through right now.”

When she was last seen she was wearing a white shirt, yellow tank top, large olive-coloured coat and a scarf, police said.
