The Victorian building was moved six blocks, but it was not an simple journey.

Residents of San Francisco have turned out to watch a 139-year-old Victorian house moving through the streets.

The home’s former site is to become a 48-unit, eight-storey apartment building.

It cost the home’s owner about $200,000 for assorted permissions and fees for the move.
