A four-year-old girl has died after reports of a dog attack in Milton Keynes, police have said.

Officers were called to a house shortly after 17:00 GMT after a report a dog had attacked a child in the back garden of a property in Netherfield.

Shortly afterwards, it was confirmed a child had died at the property, Thames Valley police said.

No arrests have been made, and the dog has been humanely destroyed. Police have called it a “tragic incident”.
