Passengers have been evacuated from Glasgow Airport after police locked down areas of the terminal building.
Officers were sent to the scene just after 06:00 following concern over an item in a passenger’s bag.
Large queues built up initially around check-in desks, however police later moved people to the car park where emergency blankets were provided.
A spokesperson for the airport said the central search area and domestic arrivals area were shut.
They added that check-in desks were open but passengers arriving at the airport for departing flights would face delays while checks are carried out.

“We are liaising with Police Scotland and will provide an update as soon as we can,” they added.
A Royal Navy bomb disposal unit was also sent to the scene.
Police Scotland later said: “The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) is in attendance and a cordon is now in place.
“Staff and members of the public have been moved from the check-in area to the multi-storey car park. Police and emergency services remain at the scene.”
