The Queen’s son will miss the Jubilee thanksgiving service “with regret”, Buckingham Palace says.
The Duke of York has tested positive for coronavirus and will not attend the Queen’s Jubilee thanksgiving service on Friday, Buckingham Palace has said.
Prince Andrew tested positive after a routine test and will miss the service “with regret”, the palace said.
It is understood he has seen the Queen in the last few days, but not since he tested positive.
As a non-working royal, the prince did not join the Queen on the balcony during Thursday’s Jubilee celebrations.
His royal titles were returned to the Crown in January amid a lawsuit in the US.
The 62-year-old duke is the third child of the Queen and is ninth in line to the throne.
