Police arrest Marcus Coates, jailed for strangling a woman in 2012, who absconded from prison.
An on-the-run prisoner who was jailed for strangling a woman has been arrested by police.
Marcus Coates was an inmate at HMP Leyhill near Bristol and was last seen in the city on Thursday near the bus station.
Officers urged anyone who saw the 54-year-old, who was jailed indefinitely in 2012 for the manslaughter of Jennie Banner, to contact them.
Police said Coates was arrested on Friday morning.
