Michael Elliott of EJM Media has cracked the ecommerce code and wants to share his knowledge with whoever wants to start or scale their ecommerce/Amazon FBA business. “I failed my first time around and I want to share my wisdom with anyone that doesn’t want to experience the same pitfalls I did,” he says. For Michael, nothing is more motivating than his keeping his freedom. As a two-time college drop out, he didn’t quite enjoy the traditional education path and did not want to venture out in the world to hold a “boring” job for most of his life. So, once he figured out what he wanted, it was all downhill from there.
Michael decided that his ecommerce and Amazon FBA business was the way to maintain as much freedom physically and financially. Initially he lost five thousand dollars and the support of friends and family. “I can see why they reacted like they did, but I couldn’t stop doing what I was doing, I had to secure my future,” Michael explains. The world of online buying and selling was a little more complicated that he expected, but he figured it out. “I am so grateful for those moments that led me where I am now. It has been a crazy ride, but now I get to do what I love and help others develop what they want to do and grow their businesses.” Online businesses in a pandemic landscape would be a profitable venture to add to a current income at first before completely cutting secure job ties. Although he has a system, it still requires time to work. To first understand ecommerce, you have to understand the basics of online shopping and Amazon FBA and EJM Media’s role in your business.
Online shopping is thriving in a world of remote work, virtual learning, and pandemic-induced lockdowns. Amazon has gone above and beyond to continue to fulfill orders while others couldn’t in the beginnings of last year’s lockdown. Amazon FBA is attractive because Amazon handles everything from inventory to shipping and EJM Media assists in making sure success is there without having to learn the hard way. No trial and error, no loss, and through Eliott’s experience there is a foolproof blueprint to be a safety-net. This is not only for new sellers but for current sellers that want to scale their businesses.
EJM Media is a full service Amazon FBA agency. It does everything from product choice to PPC management, product photography, supplier outreach, packaging, listing optimization and more. EJM Media also built an Amazon growth program where they mentor and build Amazon businesses from the ground up to allow people to have the highest chance of success. Along with the growth program they guarantee $5,000 in sales within the first 60 days of selling. Within a year EJM has already generated over $100K in sales for their clients.
“Just like any other business, an Amazon FBA business has a lot of moving parts, and only by understanding how these parts work together can you achieve predictable and sustainable results.” Building a 6-7 figure income takes time, choosing the right product, being educated about your business model, and most importantly: building the brand. Elliott says that out of all of the e-commerce options, Amazon is the best choice; the platform contributes to 50% total sales in the market and $280 billion of sales are generated by third party sellers (just regular sellers like Elliott and others in the business). His industry progress looks extremely lucrative, with society leaning more towards online and ecommerce business everyday.
“Throughout this process I went through I learned a lot, and finding people you admire in the field you’re working in is incredibly important. You can’t focus on what people are saying unless they are where you want to be. I learned the best way to move through difficulties is with a lot of determination and passion,” Elliott advises.
