Sabre Corporation Announces Acquisition of Property Management System and expands into the Real Time Real Estate Market

Sabre Corporation is an international travel technology firm based out of Southlake, Texas. It’s the largest worldwide distribution hub for air travel in North America. American Airlines launched the company in 1960, and in recent years it has been spun off into its own company, Sabre International. It also deals with distribution services for Sabre tires, parts and accessories.

The company has four main business units: corporate, affiliate, partner and global travel technology company. Corporate operations are responsible for the expansion of client reach, growth of customer loyalty and business growth. Affiliate and Partner businesses manage the day to day airline reservations and destination selection for their clients. And the global Travel Technology Company offers airport and rail travel terminal and reservation services to a number of different clients.

Sabre Corporation also deals with property management, which has several core portfolio areas. It manages property portfolios on behalf of independent owners, and sub-contracts property management to independent managers on performance and price basis. The corporation owns or leased properties in over 100 countries around the world, including Canada. These properties include resorts, hotels, theme parks, clubs, shopping centers, and more.

Sabre Corporation has also signed agreements with several major airlines and property management companies to expand its business offerings. Among those signed deals are with Continental Airlines, Lufthansa Airlines, US Airways and Alaska Airlines. In addition, Sabre has entered into agreements with three other large global distribution systems companies. These include AMEX, Expedia and PricewaterhouseCoopers. The partnership with Continental Airlines and Lufthansa Airlines will provide Sabre with direct access to one of the largest air transport markets in the world. This is in addition to its current real-time property management and franchisees relationships with Continental Airlines and Lufthansa Airlines.

Sabre Corporation also plans to expand its offerings with the addition of the new real-time property management capabilities. Through the addition of a reservation system and associated software, Sabre will be able to instantly and accurately process requests for hotel rooms, airline seats, rental cars, and more through its reservation processing web site. Sabre’s new reservation system is expected to enhance customer service and customer satisfaction and increase its market share in this growing market.

Travelers and tour operators use the internet to find and compare travel destinations and hotel rooms and rental cars. In addition, they use the internet to purchase tickets and make other travel arrangements. Sabre is one of the top travel agents in North America and is focused on continuing growth in the property management sector through acquisitions and strategic planning.
