Different Styles of Business Cards

Business cards are printed cards bearing personal business information on it or an identity of an organization. They are commonly shared during formal introductions for as a memorandum and a comfort aid. Cards are commonly used for official communication during meetings, seminars or conferences. They allow the recipient to have a record of the meeting, with all the minutes listed, when it is over.

Every business cards carries a unique contact information which is written in the left portion of the card, usually covering the name of the business card holder, the address of the owner and its telephone number. The rest of it is made up of the logo or the name of the company, along with its slogan. All the business cards have the following vital information, which is vital for proper organization and quick retrieval: name of the business; business card holder’s name; company’s logo or slogan; company’s address and its telephone number; date of issue and purchase. Some companies even add the name of the person responsible for taking care of the cards, to the contact information, on the back side of the card.

There are many ways to create the standard business cards. There are various computer software programs that are designed for the purpose of designing business cards. These software programs can create unique business cards according to the clients’ specifications, budget and other important factors. Generally, there are four types of business cards, which include the business cards with full color printing, the business cards with embossed designs on the cards, the business cards with variable data printing and the business cards with single-sided printing.

Full color business cards are the most popular because they make an excellent first impression. Most of these business cards have black as the main color. In single-sided business card stock, the colors are either printed in sepia or in color. A good business card software can be used to determine the best combination of colors to use for a particular business card design.

The standard business cards are available in two different size dimensions, which are the x 2 and the x 8. Both of these sizes are used for different purposes. For instance, x 2 business cards are meant for making sure that the names and addresses are written clearly and easily on the cards. The advantage of the x 2 size is that the information printed on it can be used repeatedly without any loss of details. On the other hand, the x 8 size is more useful because it allows more details to be printed on the business cards.

There are also two main styles of business cards: the folded design and the traditional one-side design. Folded business cards have a hole in one side of the card. On the other side, there is a flap, which acts like the door for the information printed on the card. In traditional business cards, the name of the card holder is printed in big letters and is the same on both sides of the card. In this case, the name should not be folded or flapped on one side.
