Some rare cases of mesothelioma are caused by exposure to radon gas, which is not related to asbestos at all. In some rare cases of mesothelioma, people can actually suffer from an allergic reaction to medications. Some of the symptoms of mesothelioma can be very similar to other types of cancer. And while many men with this disease will die from it, it can cause some pretty extreme damage to its victims.

A person who has been diagnosed with mesothelioma will usually start seeing symptoms on the first or second week of their illness. These symptoms include weight loss, persistent tiredness, weight gain, breathlessness, frequent night sweats, urinary incontinence, and pain behind the breastbone.

Mesothelioma causes of this nature can also be accompanied by headaches, neck pains, backaches, fever, or numbness in the hands or feet. While these symptoms may seem fairly benign, they are often mistaken for everyday injuries. And once the damage is done, it’s difficult to reverse the damage.

If you have been diagnosed with mesothelioma, you should immediately go to a doctor. Doctors will be able to determine the most effective treatment options for you. There are several different options available for people with mesothelioma.

A procedure called endoscopic removal is often the treatment option. It is an outpatient procedure that involves taking a small incision in the chest. A camera is used to get a view inside the lungs, and from there the doctor is able to remove the cancerous tissue.
