Jeff Bezos was not born with an IQ of the Incredible Hulk, but he certainly wasn’t a pipsqueak either. Yet Jeff Bezos accomplished more in his life than most people do in two lifetimes. What kind of person is he? How can you tell if you’ve met him?
To start with, it is becoming clear that Jeff Bezos has been a very loyal employee and supporter of Amazon Corporation and has never once looked at it as a business. He has done nothing to jeopardize this fact.
In fact, one would think that Jeff Bezos might be well on his way to becoming a billionaire now, but at the very least he has managed to achieve much in his life, whether it be working as a computer programmer for large corporations, managing a small business, or starting his own business. A lot of people, even some billionaires in their own right, have never accomplished as much as Bezos has. But he has done it without having to resort to outside financial support.
Beyond all the accomplishments, there are other characteristics that set Jeff Bezos apart from most people. I am going to list them below, and hope that you will take the time to read them, and decide for yourself if you have met him.
One of the first things you need to know about Jeff Bezos is that he doesn’t play games. He is always looking for a fair fight, and he is willing to pay any price necessary in order to win. This is true in all areas of his life. While he might accept a certain amount of outside financial support, he does not do it in exchange for a bad deal.
Second, and related to this, he believes in fairness. While he does not play games with people in his business, he does believe in fairness. And while the company he runs is often criticized for being too ‘greedy’, Jeff Bezos wants people to be treated fairly and therefore goes out of his way to make sure they are, so they don’t complain.
When Jeff Bezos first started up his company, he didn’t know how to run a business. But he knew that he needed to learn. If you want to learn how to be successful at running a business, the same goes for Jeff Bezos.
And just like the other personality traits I listed above, none of these are acquired. They are all a matter of mindset, and one needs to practice them in order to master them.
