Will Oprah Winfrey Still Have A Show?
Now that Oprah Winfrey has announced her intention to retire, the question is will her host show be cancelled or is she still going to carry on as a popular and recognized figure? She has several shows and segments still on the air.
This is due to the fact that she has several things that she has to get accomplished before she can think about starting a new show. She has several network executives who she needs to make appointments with.
She is famous for her name recognition and has been known to fill up auditoriums on college campuses, so she needs to make sure that she is very well known and has plenty of standing ovations on her final show. It would be quite an accomplishment indeed to end your show and be known as one of the most recognized personalities in television.
Oprah Winfrey also has a book deal to finish up on, that she must complete by early 2020. She has actually written three books already, but the contract for the third book is being delayed until after she has decided to retire. She wants to write the third book, for herself and for her fans, so she must be very busy and not thinking of a third book.
Another thing that has been rumored is that Oprah Winfrey might replace her regular topper, The Oprah Winfrey Show with an all-female show. She is said to have planned this out and actually has three shows lined up. She has a talk show that is being developed by another female show that she works with, so she has been talking with them.
She is also in talks with CBS to create a show called The Oprah Winfrey Show that will feature a woman thatis an entertainer, like herself, but will be made to appear and sound like a man. She is said to be very pleased with this, as she likes the idea of being able to interact with women in the same way that she has been doing with men.
So, even if Oprah is doing hosting the show, she is certainly not finished as a personality and is likely to be doing other things in the future. It appears that she will not be off the air for a long time, at least.
