Here are some of the fastest growing technologies which have grown rapidly in the past few years and are expected to grow at an increasing rate in 2020 and beyond according to Dr. Jhonny Salomon.

Customized Facelift

Dr. Jhonny Salomon says, “The customized facelift is expected to grow rapidly in 2020 with an increasing demand and an open-minded mindset by many patients aiming to reverse the signs of aging. This procedure offers a fresh and realistic look compared to the traditional facelift that we have become accustomed to. Local anesthetic is used for this and there is not much bruising or swelling experienced with this procedure and the scars are imperceptible from the face within a short period of time. This treatment usually takes about an hour and a half to complete and the patient is able to return to their daily activities immediately after with light makeup allowed a few days following the procedure. Patients notice full results almost a month following the procedure with long lasting results for anywhere from 7 – 10 years.”

Non-Surgical Jobs

Dr. Jhonny Salomon says, “Smaller surgeries are becoming more and more popular among all areas of plastic surgery. The non-surgical nose job is an excellent example of this that is used as an alternative to the more invasive rhinoplasty surgery. This technique uses dermal fillers to help reshape the nose to a great degree and is becoming more common to correct birth defects. The patients’ nose contours are slightly improved while time is spent reshaping to add more definition and volume. Fillers that can be used to accomplish this can include Radiesse, Juvederm, Perlane and Voluma. The procedure starts off with a few minutes of numbing followed by the placement and injection of soft tissue filler which takes about fifteen minutes. Make up shouldn’t be applied for about a week or so but patients can usually return to their everyday activities immediately after. These fillers allow for immediate noticeable improvement and last about one year.

Breast Augmentation with Fat Grafting

Breast augmentation with fat grafting is becoming more and more popular as a procedure done on its own or in combination with a breast lift or existing implant. During this procedure, the autologous fat is used in microinjections to add volume and accomplish the desired result.  While this procedure might not be ideal for all patients, depending on their tissue laxity or the desired volume, it works very well for most. The entire process takes about two hours and the cost can range anywhere between seven thousand and nine thousand dollars. Results last up to 10 years.
