The most talked about UK TV actress in recent years has been British writer, comedian and director Billie Eilish. Billie’s first appearance on stage was at the age of six in a school play in Hull where she stole the show. Today she is one of the most sought after faces in the comedy world, with her unique talents making her one of the most sought after performers in the entertainment industry.

Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish has had her own comedy albums and comedy DVD’s released and it was this DVD called Oh Great Balls Of Fire that received a lot of attention for its humorous banter, but also some truly hilarious scenes which made it an instant hit. There are many interviews with Billie and when it comes to their hilarious moments, these interviews are best. In a recent interview with William Shatner, one of the greatest Stars in the history of Star Trek, Billie describes her past on stage and this is how she said:

“I’m a funny person and I know that the way I dress is a big factor in what people think about me. My mum told me once that if you are wearing black with a white shirt, people will think you are a little bit weird, but when I got a white shirt with black jeans, everyone just thought I was so sexy.” Her mother, who is named Janet Eilish, would often dress her up in funny outfits which included a red corduroy jacket, a grey floral-print vest and, of course, a black halter-neck dress.

She continues with her quote: “I have never wanted to wear anything but black tights with a white shirt in public.” Although it was perhaps the second most important part of her outfit, the secret behind her success is that she always wore something outlandish with her hair tied up in a ponytail.

Billie Eilish has even had an appearance on the American television program Saturday Night Live with her sister, Poppy, where she described her work ethic. This is her humble answer to the interviewer:

“It’s just very weird. You just come home from a hard day at work and you’ve got to do what you’ve done, it’s pretty hard. I wake up and have to make myself get dressed and then I go out and do my own thing and make my own funny mistakes.

Billie Eilish is certainly proving her mettle as a comedian by successfully showing people how talented she is and making them laugh. While this method may not work for everyone, there are a lot of comedians who are not able to manage their acts because they keep forgetting their very first impression. Their fans have seen them on stage or read about them in magazines and they never feel like they are ready for their own stage act because they think they are too old or too plain, or too nerdy.
