Are Oprah Winfrey and Olivia Ross Making a Lot of Money From the “Secret” Video?
On the eve of her birthday, Oprah’s in the car. She knows this is how it is going to go down. Not, that she particularly likes it. She is a very strict and regal person who likes to have all her business done by certain people.
Olivia is sitting in the driver’s seat, watching the winding roads and small town locales of Ohio, not believing that anything will happen today. Still, she is enjoying herself. It is only when Oprah asks to get out of the car and take a quick break to eat lunch that Olivia is suddenly pushed out of the driver’s seat and into the passenger seat.
Okay, what is wrong? Why is she being pulled from the driving seat into the passenger seat? Does she smell funny? Will she be reprimanded for eating in the passenger seat?
In fact, there is more than one thing wrong with the scenario. At first glance, Olivia may seem to be of the same mind, although it appears that she has been shoved out of the passenger seat. Oprah’s question to Olivia in fact turns out to be all part of her marketing plan.
Oprah and Olivia know they have a viral video going on in the ether. They are aware that in a matter of days, the video will go viral, as well. And now, Olivia knows that Oprah has a secret. Now, she wants to know who told her. She has no way of knowing who is telling her, but she wants to know.
Who said Olivia was shoving her out of the car? Oprah? Who is sending her out of the car? Oh, the mystery. The secret, as far as this promo campaigns are concerned, is that both the marketers and the celebrities are getting more than their share of the profits. They both know that no matter what a viewer might think, they are making a lot of money. How else could the marketing be so successful?
